Jenny’s Countdown To Christmas 2025 Wrap Up!

It’s Over 😕

All good things must come to an end, right? I am sad, but also so excited for 2026! There are so many wonderful things in the works, and I can’t wait to share. But first, let’s talk about this box.

If you missed any of the videos, you can check out the 2025 Countdown to Christmas playlist. I also have a 2025 Countdown to Christmas blog.

This is my fifth year doing this unboxing event, and sometimes it is fun to go back and see what we received each year, although I think this is my favorite so far! Here are the playlists from the previous years:

I also have blogs for the past few years. Here’s the links:

Let’s Review!

Items By Category

I keep track of a lot of details, but here are the ones I think you would be most interested in knowing. Each of the 39 items we received (some days we received more than one item) fall into categories. Please note: some items fall into more than one category.

Here is the breakdown:

  • Consumables: 9 This category includes items such as fabric, embroidery supplies, interfacing, and anything that we would use to make other items.

  • Fabric (also falls under consumables, but it is more fun than interfacing): Not much! We receive two panels and one charm pack.

  • Sewing Tools: 5

  • Patterns: 9, including the two in the book

  • Non-Quilting Related Items: 10 This is always a tough category to quantify, so here is my rule: Someone who doesn’t quilt would like these items. Some examples of this are the charcuterie board, the wrapping pattern, the puzzle, etc.

  • Branded Items: 24 Ohhhh, this is a touchy subject! For some reason, many do not want me to point this out. I am not sure why. Please know I don’t mind branded items! I really don’t. I swear this is not a dig at MSQC in any way at all. I just keep track of it. Also, the colors everyone loves are the MSQC’s branding colors, which is why they all match.

  • Templates: 3

  • Organizers: 4

  • Chuck the Duck: 36 with 31 being on the packaging and box! I am really surprised by this. We didn’t get any duck products at all, either, like last year!

Value Breakdown:

My Favorite Things

This is the part that people always ask me about. What are MY favorite things? Here are my top three:

Alphabet Templates (Day 6): I love these! There are so many times I want to put letters, names, initials, etc. on things, and I really don’t want to deal with making the letters, reversing them, printing them, tracing them, etc. These are great, and I will use these for years to come.

Wrapping Paper (Day 8): Believe it or not, I love this item! It isn’t something I would buy myself, but it certainly something I would use. Quilts are so beautiful! Who wouldn’t love to receive a birthday gift wrapped in these papers? Of course, now I have to actually USE it! I tend to hoard stuff like this for “someday” instead of actually using it. I do this with fabric, too!

Labels (Day 11): I have wanted to try labels like this for a few months now. I see other creators and quilters actually collecting, trading, and, of course, using them. I don’t know that I would have tried them if I hadn’t gotten them in this box, however, but I am so glad I did!

Honorable Mention:

Ingrid’s Garden Embroidery Kit (Day 19): I have had my eye these for a long time now, and have always wanted to try them. I love that this box, in general, pushes me out of my comfort zone some, just like this item.

My Least Favorite Things

Binder (Day 7): Although I love the idea of this, the binder itself is flimsy and doesn’t stand up well.

Snap Bag Kit (Day 13): In my opinion, the snap bracelet things were too strong, and this idea is executed much more effectively with a measuring tape. Also, this isn’t a new idea at all and wasn’t very unique.

The Lights (Day 17): Ehhh. Not my thing, although they were fun in my hair.

Tool Caddy (Day 25): In theory, this would have been a favorite of mine, IF it worked and was made well. It wasn’t made well, sadly.
